Samsung has finally launched Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphones and Galaxy Note 5 in New York today. Samsung said that the company has made it easier to handle the 5.7-inch display smartphones with just one hand.
JK Shin, the CEO and President of Mobile Division in Samsung Electronics said that with large screen smartphones, Samsung actively addresses the major pain points of consumers by providing them a better viewing experience.
Both of the new items share the same hardware. Galaxy S6 edge+ features a dual curved screen, just like the earlier Galaxy S6 Edge, whereas the Note 5 comes with flat display and a dual curved back.
Further, it has been reported that the battery backup is also fantabulous for the users. However, market studies always suggest the users to carry a rechargeable and portable Galaxy S6 Edge battery case, as it would improve the user experience of using their new smartphone without any hassle of low battery conditions at any point of time.
A common feature in both the devices is its 5.7-inch Quad HD display with pixel density of 518ppi. On the screen of S6 edge+, the users can now pin five of their favorite apps along with contacts.
The galaxy Note 5 features an improved stylus pen. Now there is no need to use the nails to force the stylus pen out, as it can be taken out with just a click, unlike the earlier Note versions.
Users can even take notes by using the S pen, without unlocking the device. The new devices are reported to be powered by an octa-core processor (Exynos 7420) with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Further, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating Software.
According to reports, the new smartphones would be available in 64GB and 32GB internal memory options. They are powered by 3,000 mAh batteries and there will be no microSD card slots.
Both devices features a 5MP f1.9 front snapper and a 16MP OIS f1.9 rear camera, on the camera front, whereas on the connectivity front, it features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro-USB 2.0 and GPS/ A-GPS. Both Note5 and S6 edge+ comes with fingerprint scanners.
Note 5 is 171 grams heavier than the Galaxy edge+ and measures 153.2×76.1×7.6mm and 154.4×75.8×6.9 mm respectively.
As far as the varied color options are concerned, both the smartphones will be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum.
